We are the local umbrella organisation whose role is to be the voice for all our members, being a collective is our strength.

No, the NCM will never interfere with the internal workings of our member masjids, it is in our constitution.

We will never exclude any Muslim Masjids and centres from joining.
Those that have not joined will always be welcomed with open arms to join the NCM family whenever they wish – “We are stronger together”.

Any masjid/Islamic centre in the Nottingham/Nottinghamshire boundary that follows our statement of faith: There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his final messenger.

The Muslim Community in Nottingham is increasing and is more diverse. To ensure the needs of Muslims are addressed by public services we all must speak with one voice to get our comments, concerns and complaints across to people who make decisions. To challenge the rise in Islamophobia, we must be United as Muslims.

No, the NCM functions independently and is not led by any of the government/council bodies.

The Muslim person as an individual cannot get involved in the decision-making structures of the NCM. It is important they get involved as volunteers with a Masjid in our Community and then ask their management committee to elect them to represent the Masjid. However, individual Muslims who are not part of Mosques can get involved in events the NCM organises.
