NCM along with the British Islamic Medical Association (BIMA) held Basic Lifesaver Courses at 7 member Mosques in Nottingham.
NCM liaised with Police, MPs, and Interfaith Groups to prevent extremist Hindu speaker coming to Nottingham.  NCM issued two statements which can be found here.

NCM Management Committee members attended the National Burial Council meeting in Birmingham.
NCM Management Committee members met the Lord Lieutenant of Nottingham (Kings Representative in Nottinghamshire) on the passing away of the Queen.
September- communications with Registry Office regarding Christmas Day / New Year’s Day opening.
September 2022 – Discussions with Anthony Nolan to improve Swab Sample collections and expand the programme to schools.

Contacted a number of our member Mosques to encourage and support them in fund raising for Pakistan floods, if needed by providing them with UK fund raising ideas.

Meeting with MP and Portfolio Holder regarding Burial Issues.
Discussions with Major City Attraction Trust for Community Hub/Multifaith room.

Three NCM delegates attended the NBC CONFERENCE (National Burial Council).

Worked with BIMA to encourage the Nottingham Muslim community to register for Bone Marrow Transplants.

Facilitated Mosque announcements, and leaflet distribution and held an event with the Anthony Nolan Trust to promote uptake which resulted in the second-highest number of stem cell registrations in a single day of Anthony Nolan.

Organised two mental health workshops to promote awareness and uptake of services within the Muslim community.

Held a community iftar with Green Academy Trust with panellists including Cllr David Mellon, PCC Caroline Henty, Ch Supt Mat Healy and Reverend Liam.

Delivered iftar to patients and visitors at the Queens Medical Centre with the help of iftar donations.

Held Annual General Meeting and updated members on work done in the previous year and priorities for the forthcoming year.

Wrote to City Council to object to the proposed fee increases for burial fees.
Wrote to Nottingham MPs about the situation of Muslims in Kashmir.
